Extreme performance for the price, expressed through compact dimensions, proprietary technology and Danish craftsmanship.

X2t 25th Anniversary

‍For those who refuse to compromise between exceptional sound and beautiful design.

The X2t was created for listeners who want the speed and resolution of a compact Raidho monitor, but with the authority and room-filling scale of a floorstanding loudspeaker. Its slim 2.5-way design combines the Raidho ribbon tweeter with two tantalum-enhanced drivers, adding bass power and dynamic freedom while preserving coherence from top to bottom. The result is a loudspeaker that can sound intimate when the music asks for subtlety and remarkably expansive when the performance grows. X2t fits naturally into contemporary living spaces, yet never presents music as small or restrained. It exists for those who refuse to choose between elegance and impact, or between precision and emotion. This is the point where the agility of the X Series becomes a genuinely full-room experience.

Why it sounds different

X SERIES

— BASS / MIDRANGE DRIVER- HANDCRAFTED INHOUSE

Lightness meets rigidity

Raidho Ceramix technology begins with a lightweight aluminium cone whose outer surfaces are transformed into aluminium-oxide ceramic. The result is a naturally bonded sandwich structure combining high rigidity with excellent self-damping.

Strength without added weight

On the X Series “t” models, a tantalum coating makes the Ceramix membrane even harder and stiffer without adding significant moving mass. Breakup modes are pushed as high as 15 kHz, preserving clarity across a remarkably wide range.

Bass with speed and definition

Powerful neodymium magnets drive the titanium voice coil within an exceptionally open motor structure. Airflow helps cool the coil and reduces reflections that could otherwise colour the sound, keeping the bass fast, articulate and precisely controlled.

Detail without fatigue

The Raidho planar-magnetic tweeter brings together the best of two worlds: exceptional detail and resolution combined with a smooth, natural musicality. With virtually no distortion or coloration, nothing stands between you and the music.

planar magnetic · ultra-low mass · fast response

Engineered to disappear

At only 11 microns thick and weighing just 20 milligrams, the foil carries around 50 times less mass than the diaphragm of a conventional dome tweeter. The result is effortless speed and microdetail without the tweeter drawing attention to itself.

11 μm foil · 20 mg membrane · low inertia

Air, space and openness

The ribbon’s first breakup mode lies far beyond the audible range, at an exceptional 82 kHz. Resonances are kept away from the music, allowing voices and instruments to emerge within a wide, open and holographic soundstage.

AUDIO TEST

Michael Jackson's wonderfully dynamic song "Dirty Diana" hardly keeps us on our seats. The listener has to cope with so much soul and rock n' roll at once. More fundamentally, it can be said that the X2t is a good choice in all of its unusual songs. We especially remember the impressively lifelike spatiality, which we can admire, for example, during chorals from the Speryer Cathedral. It was as if we experienced the natural reflection of the sound right before our eyes.

STEREOPHILE

How Raidho manages to produce such an extreme, seeming full range sound from a floorstander as diminutive as the X2t (€14,000/pair) I do not know. But perhaps its planar-magnetic tweeter, which is almost the same as in the much larger TD6, has something to do with it. The speaker, which replaces the X2, also has contains 5.25" bass drivers with an extremely stiff tantalum-coated membrane, Nordost internal cabling, Mundorf capacitors, special decoupling feet that include metal balls, and 2.5-way construction. Crossover components have been improved, and are hard-wired point-to-point, and the loudspeaker has been completely retuned.

SOUNDNEWS

The show-stopper wasn't the TD6 which sounded deliciously natural, super tight, impactful, and massive as they look. The real show-stopper was the newest X2T stand floor speakers which looked puny by comparison. The funny thing is that after listening to music for 10 minutes, Morten approaches and tells the crowd that it's time to hear the roar of the mighty TD6…which everybody in the room thought was playing in the first place. The scale of the X2T was mind-blowingly large! They had Mariana Trench levels of depth, accurate pin-point imaging, and a vast soundstage, plus speedy dynamics and quite an impressive low-end delivery. At ~14K EUR these could be some of the best speakers out there. There was of course a difference between them and their high-end TD siblings, but the difference wasn't a night and day one as their price might suggest. Mark my words: These will sell like hotcakes!
