The X1.6 Reference was created to explore how far the compact loudspeaker concept can be taken when every important detail is elevated. It builds on the musical foundation of the X1.6 with a fully hand-built crossover, premium Mundorf components and internal wiring based on Nordost Valhalla technology. A rear-mounted passive radiator adds greater bass freedom, physical presence and scale without compromising the speed and control expected from a Raidho stand-mount design. The result is quieter, more open and more emotionally direct, allowing music to emerge with greater ease and completeness. X1.6 Reference is for listeners who need a room-friendly loudspeaker but refuse to lower their ambitions. It exists to make the cabinet disappear and leave behind a performance that feels far larger, deeper and more assured than its dimensions suggest.

Why it sounds different
Raidho Ceramix technology begins with a lightweight aluminium cone whose outer surfaces are transformed into aluminium-oxide ceramic. The result is a naturally bonded sandwich structure combining high rigidity with excellent self-damping.

On the X Series “t” models, a tantalum coating makes the Ceramix membrane even harder and stiffer without adding significant moving mass. Breakup modes are pushed as high as 15 kHz, preserving clarity across a remarkably wide range.

Powerful neodymium magnets drive the titanium voice coil within an exceptionally open motor structure. Airflow helps cool the coil and reduces reflections that could otherwise colour the sound, keeping the bass fast, articulate and precisely controlled.
