The quest for making a much-improved X2t began, using the same improvements from the X1t and more additional ingredients from the ultra high-end sector.

The X2t doeseverything the compact X1t does, just on a higher level. Additionally, the X2thas dual woofers with which you get much more bass power and a larger scale tothe music.

The two 5,25” bassdriver units in the new X2t, now has the Tantalum coating. Tantalum belongs toa class of metals known as refractory metals, which are defined by their strongresistance to heat and wear. It has a melting point of 2,996 °C, the fourthhighest of all metals. This makes the membrane much stiffer and harder withoutadding any weight and thereby raising the breakup modes to an incredible 15kHz.

The new crossover inthe X2t has quality components that exceeds many other loudspeakers up to EUR80.000. On the back you can see the point-to-point hardwiring that is all doneby hand. Furthermore, the use of Nordost cable in the crossover is highlyunusual and reveals the enormous attention to detail. Needless to say, theinternal cable is also from Nordost with Norse technology, which is also usedin the Nordost Valhalla models. Truly remarkable.
